Brian Edwards is a part of the Commercial Real Estate and Banking Law Group of Webb, Tanner, Powell, Mertz & Wilson. Mr. Edwards focuses his practice on representing developers, builders, banks and other individuals and institutions in a wide array of real estate and banking related matters. His commercial real estate practice involves representing clients in, and facilitating, commercial real estate transactions and tax deferred like-kind property exchanges. This area of his practice also includes representing developers in the acquisition and development of commercial and residential developments which entails drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, easements, leases, and other real estate related agreements and instruments. Mr. Edwards’ banking and financial institution practice involves representing institutional lenders in loan transactions secured by real property and personal property and in conducting foreclosure proceedings.

Mr. Edwards received his Juris Doctor Degree in 2004 from the University of Georgia School of Law, where he graduated cum laude and was a member and brief editor of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, a member of the Gray’s Inn Moot Court Team and a member of the Moot Court Board. Mr. Edwards received his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration in Management Information Systems from The University of Georgia, summa cum laude, in 1999.

Mr. Edwards was admitted to the practice of law in the state of Georgia in 2004 and is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association and the Gwinnett County Bar Association. He enjoys being active in the Gwinnett County Community and is currently a member of the Gwinnett Council for Quality Growth and the Lawrenceville chapter of the Rotary Club.
